Following the violation of his probation of his arrest in March for misdemeanor assault charges and in August for reckless driving and reckless endangerment, Meek mills has been sentenced to 2-4 years in prison.
Charges from the two arrests have been dropped, but the incidents led to Monday's court date to review whether or not he had violated his probation.
Meek was found guilty and sentenced to 2 years in prison.
Jay-Z has called the sentence "unjust and heavy handed" in a Facebook post.
However, Meek's attorney Joe Tacopina has vowed to appeal his client's ruling and tackle judge Brinkley's decision, saying that she has a personal vendetta against the Philly rapper.
Tacopina spoke to Billboard about what he called Brinkley's "infatuation" with Mill. He said Brinkley once requested that Meek re-record a Boyz II Men song and make a shout out to her in the song. Mill took it as a joke but she told him she was serious about it but he didn't comply. She also wanted him to leave Roc Nation to sign with a friend of hers.
