Stephen Curry declines Trump's Invitation
Following Trump's invitation for the NBA championship team, The Warriors, to the White House and Stephen Curry declining, the president responded by singling out Curry, he tweets:
Another notable NBA star, LeBron James replied the president:
“U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!” James tweeted in response to Trump withdrawing Curry’s invitation to the White House.
“My stance is the same as yesterday, and maybe cemented even further," Curry said hours after Trump’s tweet.
He then noted how different his relationship with the Trump administration is turning out to be compared to Obama’s.
“I’ve played golf with President Obama,” Curry said. “I don’t think I’ll be getting a tee time with this administration, to say the least.”
